Conventionally, we look at a leader without flaws. Perhaps the story books, movies and media contributed to this perception when we keep watching a hero who is a legend from the beginning.

The problem with perfect leader mentality is that it stops us from initiating something new. We think we are not good enough to take a lead in something that we think needs to change in our environment. So we wait until either we become perfect or a perfect guy comes and do what we thought of.

As long as you notice a need and you have an idea that can fulfill the need, you are ready. The perfection never happens but once you start with a commitment for a high impact venture, you will grow stronger along the way and by the time you realize it you are already a legendary leader in your field.
