We are always told only part of the truth. The other part is untold to us. But it is so often that the reason for such a thing is not that they want to hide it from us. It is not that they don’t tell us everything because they don’t want to. It is that we don’t want to hear it. They tell us what we want to hear and keep the rest away from us because they know that if we are told, we won’t like it and would react with anger, hate or distrust.

It is also possible that they do take the courage to really try to tell us but we fail to receive it. We have built such strong filters that we only hear what we want to hear.

Building the ability to listen clearly, gives you the power to see beyond what you already know.
